Noble / Wilshire
Who ever thought this combination would work ?

Neither has pace

Time and time again we are carved up due to these being exposed, they gave zero protection to the defence today

Don't criticise the defence, criticise the midfield

The elusive DM we searched for all summer is needed even more now

Re: Noble / Wilshire
I agree they don't really work as yet and would prefer to see Wilshere higher up the pitch.

But I'm not going to blame them for the fact that 3 of Liverpools 4 goals came from cross from wide areas (one a set piece), or the fact that that there were at least 5 people culpable for the first today, or the second today which came after an idiotic tackle by ogbonna and a pathetically weak challenge by ogbonna from the resulting set piece. To do so would, evidently, be stupid.

Don’t worry, Wilshire will only last another couple of games before a season ending injury ha ha ha

Re: Noble / Wilshire
I am flabbergasted that Noble is still our no 1 midfielder we need to replace him he is far too slow and will never lift a team and with respect he is not much of a creator he holds and passes if of course the ball is not taken from his feet like a sweet from a baby.

Re: Noble / Wilshire
Sanchez looked quite decent in his 15 mins, and it's he who should be partnered with Wilshere in a 2, if we play 2. In a three, well it depends who we're playing obviously.

Re: Noble / Wilshire
Let's pray Sanchez is decent. If not would rather Obiang over Noble, he's been a fantastic player for us but should not be starting every game now.

Yep. Nobles done. Wilshire looks a class above on the ball.

What I remember him with Villa i'd say he's not the answer... then again I was told he destroyed England when we played him in the WC... however i'm trying to actually remember the actual destroying he did in that game??

Re: Noble / Wilshire
I wasn't even aware he was playing against England as I'd never heard of him before we were linked with him.

Probably turn out to be our best signing of the summer, it's the West Ham way.

Re: Noble / Wilshire
Noble doesn’t play World Cup football.

No disrespect, I’m a fan. It’s just realism.

If we were to sell Noble, who’d be interested, and for how much?

Re: Noble / Wilshire
I honestly thought Wilshere was worse than Noble, he didnt cover, his passing was poor, he cant run, he looks shot to bits to me, which lets face it is why we got him. At least noble made a few tackles and won the ball and he got Arnoutovic away once or twice. Btw Arnoutovic looked as interested as when Bilic was here ie not a fucking tall!

No, Wilshire was fucking useless, as was noble but no as bad as the porky arsenal one

Re: Noble / Wilshire
Every year it's the same problem, whoever is playing alongside Noble. It's never Noble. This time it's England's most talented midfielder since Gascoigne. There's only been one year when he's looked good and that was the same year when Payet made everyone look good.

Is football something you’ve recently taken up instead of knitting

There’s no comparison between the two, and I’m trying not to be disrespectful to Noble, as it’s undeserved.

Haha he was fucking useless noble was useless wilshere is shot to bits! Most talented since Gascoigne do me a favour

Re: Noble / Wilshire
Neither Wilshire or Noble is going to bully the opposition in the middle and as much as Noble is one of our own Wilshire has definitely got more about him.

Iron Duke 10:57 Sat Aug 18
Re: Noble / Wilshire
I think Wilshere was a decent acquisition but we needed to buy a strong midfielder to play with him. Noble and Wilshere just doesn’t work.
